I’ve been up for an hour or so, the usual light sleep when Brian leaves early. I don’t remember hearing him leave, so I was obviously wasn’t up long. At least one cat was in bed with me.
Today marks the first day the Canadian border is open. It’s bittersweet that it’s finally open and, for all my bitching about being separated from Shawshank for the last 18 months, I’m not heading up there yet. Logically, I know it’s probably going to be an epic shitshow for a little while, and I should be thankful I’m not stuck in the middle of it.
For the moment, the weather is clear. I believe they’re calling for some isolated thunderstorms to dodge later this afternoon. I need to run my own errands, and Mom needs to go to the post office. Conveniently, my errands are near the post office. As long as I can get Mom out of the house, it will work out nicely.
Oh well. Time for clothes and makeup. Enjoy the rest of your day.
