Filled them with the private music of wicked words

Happy Sunday, y’all. I briefly saw the sun this morning. Don’t worry, I didn’t get my hopes up. It’s still supposed to be cloudy with spots of rain all day.

And guess what? We still haven’t gone shopping.

Will we leave the house today? Who knows.

Yesterday, since we didn’t leave the house, I read House of Leaves all day. When I read it for the first time, I just read it like a regular book. I read it straight through, and took everything at face value. This time around, I’m marking the shit out of it. I spent most of yesterday reading the appendix and making notes in the margins. I’ll go back to the insanity of the “regular” book today.

I sit beside a window in the living room. Once the daylight finally went, I worked on the current wreath-in-progress. I filled in another third of it before I stopped for the night. It shouldn’t take too long to finish it up tonight. I’ve started pre-cutting a huge stack of paper before I even start rolling the flowers. While the prep is tedious (and messy), the rolling and gluing moves much quicker.

Unlike anyone in this house.
