The coffee won’t kick in

I actually slept through most of the night for a change. I woke up around sunrise, such as it is during a thunderstorm, but I was able to fall back into a light sleep. We’re in the beginnings of a pretty strong system of thunderstorms. Mal is hiding under my bed. Unfortunately, I doubt we’ll see much of him for the day.

Yesterday’s weather wasn’t bad, although it was rainy for much of the day. I was able to have some quality spin time in the morning before the weather changed after lunch. I’ve decided that I absolutely live for the times I have outside, alone. If it’s dark, all the better.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a fantastic day. I was in a very “snacky” mood. In addition to my lunch, I had animal crackers and chips. Then more chips. I felt terrible about eating all the snacks. Dinner was leftover quiche. Those two words shouldn’t ever be in a sentence together, unless that sentence is “throw out any leftover quiche”. By the end of the night, I was annoyed at myself for eating too much, while at the same time annoyed that the one meal I was looking forward to eating wasn’t good.

Just try to wrap your head around that logic, my friends.

I have an order of wreath forms coming in today. That will put me at about four wreaths to sell, because Mom wants to give one to her neighbor and another to Brian’s mother. I’ve done enough of them at this point that it no longer takes me several days to finish one. My process is much quicker, and there’s no fiddling around with how to make flowers anymore.

There’s no plans for today, as far as I know. I’ll probably sit around and read a book while Mom watches a steady stream of daytime talkshows and HGTV.
