That’s great, it starts with an earthquake

Since it’s 2020, and this is the year that keeps on giving, I started the morning with an earthquake.

Pretty much anything else I could post from here on wouldn’t be even close to interesting.

I did the dishes and some shopping yesterday.  The woman in front of me at the checkout insisted to the cashier that our grocery bills would be doubled under Biden as president.  The cashier, an older woman who seemed like she’s just about done with everyone’s shit, asked her what made her think that.  The woman didn’t have any reason other than “I just feel it”.

I also built half of my sleeping platform for the truck.  This one is better and lighter than the one I’d built out of the large pallet.  It will also have more space under it, and fit better in the cargo area.  Unfortunately, my drill died on the last two screws, and that was the only reason I didn’t build the second half.

Since the weather was still warm and gorgeous, I took the poi outside for a couple of hours.  My neighbor had spent the afternoon in his backyard with his cats.  He’d also made a pile of wood by his firepit, so I knew if I went out there would be an audience.  Sure enough, as walked down the steps with my drink and tiny speaker, I heard him tell whoever else was over there “ah, there she is!”.

Misirlou’s beat makes for an awesome fast pace spin, and they cheered and clapped for me.

The rest of the night is pretty fuzzy.  Shawshank and I wanted to watch SNL together, but neither of us made it to that point.

There’s worse songs to have stuck! The other day I got “Saturday Night” by the Bay City Rollers stuck on mine.
