More money, more bruises

More money, more bruises

Good morning, my lovelies.

Saturday wasn’t a bad day, for the most part. I was up a little earlier than I’d have liked. However, I slept later than I would have during the week, which was good. At around 10 am, someone came and picked up the little shadowbox thing Shawshank displayed his Lego minis in. She forgot that she’d negotiated $5 off my asking price and gave me my original asking price. I briefly discussed the glass display case with someone who would have been interested in it, if he could find a matching one. After lunch, a couple came and picked up a media shelf. They were in and out quickly. They’d paid via Venmo before lunch and were amused with my Venmo username.

Once everything was sold for the day, I headed out to Home Depot for some wood. I was pretty happy knowing that I wouldn’t have to cut 12 15-inch pieces of 2×4’s, because I knew from the last time I was there that the minimum length they’d cut was 12″. Surprise! They can’t cut the 2×4’s to anything less than 18″. Fine, cut ’em to 18″, I’ll simply have more underbed storage area. Oh, but now I’ve got three random pieces that are like 24″. All the pieces that come from the original need to be at least 18″. I picked up a little handsaw and took my wood home to trim. After I cut the first oversized piece to match the others and realized it didn’t take that long, I trimmed all of them to the 15″ I initially wanted.

Unfortunately, the first attempt to add legs to the smallest pallet didn’t go so well, and I need to buy a drill bit this afternoon.

The rest of the day was spent trying to learn the basic of poi tosses. I chatted with my mother for an hour or so about their cleanup after the storm a couple of a weeks back. The yard looks better, but they’re still having some septic issues that won’t disappear until the flooding goes down more.

In addition to today’s extra trip to Home Depot, I have someone coming over at lunchtime to check out my furs and try on another coat. I’ll be happy to see a couple of the furs go; the buyer said the vintage wraps remind her of her grandmother. I’m fairly certain one of the wraps is mink, and the other two are either mink or fox. I’m keeping the long mink coat. It’s amazing.

But, before all that can happen, I need to do a workout. My schedule change on Friday prevented me from doing one then, and if I don’t do something today I won’t be able to do another until Tuesday.

Have a good morning, everyone. Enjoy what remains of the weekend 😊

This isn’t even the one I’m keeping! The one I plan to keep is actually knee-length and just *gorgeous*.
