Good morning, world, it’s Saturday. Shawshank is at work, I’m drinking coffee and listening to music. Since the blackout curtains have come down, we’ve had Pippin in bed with us every morning. The weather is cooling and she wants to snuggle.
For the most part, we took things easy yesterday. I put on real clothes for the second time this week, and we headed out to Slightly BiggerTown for some supplies. I tried to find some vampire teeth for Halloween stuff, but neither shop carried any. That’s no bother, it’ll be easy and cheap enough to buy the things to make my own the next time we’re out. I was able to pick up two giant black markers I needed for some cam-related crafts.
“Doing some taggin’?” asked the cashier. Sir…. you don’t want to know.
Once we had everything we needed to buy, we turned the truck in the other direction and headed home to eat lunch. I watched Shawshank play Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and absorbed the internet. A few hours of relaxing ride-building later, we swapped. I grabbed a PS2 controller and played “Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance” until it was time for dinner and Smackdown.
Shawshank will be home in a couple of hours. I’m going to put on some upbeat music, go on TikTok and make myself look like a person.
