Good morning, world. We woke up to a foggy morning in a bed filled with cats and cuddles.
We had a nice day off yesterday, once the ginger beefball settled down. Podrick’s energy level was at about a 9.5/10 yesterday, and he just did not stop all morning. We locked him in the bedroom because he was fixated on the shelf with the plants, but let him out because we could hear him trying to destroy stuff. Shawshank set up the table by the back door and opened the windows, hoping to distract him with some air flow and new smells. Pod continued his path of destruction, following Pipping around and trying to get to the plants. Eventually, we put Pippin in the bedroom so she couldn’t be harassed. She slept on the bed, enjoying the sunshine and the breeze.
Shawshank put on Saints Row IV and grabbed a controller. He’s been playing with the same mindset as me: we’ll take over as much as we possibly can without advancing the story, to make the advancing story easier. At first, he focused on hacking the shops, since it didn’t involve combat. Every shop increased his hourly cash intake, making it easier to pay for upgrades and ammunition. From there, he handled the easier combat points. Everything he did gave him experience to level up, and things went pretty smoothly. By the end of the night, we’d swapped the controller a couple of times.
The days off can’t last forever, and we’re working today. I’m looking forward to cheeseburgers for dinner.
