on the road and in the trees

This morning was Day #2 of being an evil cat mom and ignoring my boy when he wanted a cuddle in the morning. I was warmer as well, because he was more persistent today, and I had to keep hiding under the blanket. I woke up from a dream in which I looked out the bedroom window and saw a small paper sign in the pine tree that said “HEY GIRL! WE CAN SEE YOU WORKING!”. It’s gonna be A Day™.

Yesterday was an experimental shift: the first stream since rearranging the bedroom. With the bed pushed in a corner now, I have two sides completely open to set up the tripod. I started at the open corner and played with angles and lighting. There aren’t any curtains up right now, so I get a lot of light– almost too much. My ring light can’t compete with the natural lighting. Eventually, everything was centered at the foot of the bed.

It didn’t matter, because it was a terrible night. I sort my viewer list by the amount of tokens they have; I was at the top of the list for most of the stream, even with a single-digit balance. The worst part was that my room wasn’t any lower in rankings than normal.

We have today off, and our plans are simple. We’re going out to Slightly BiggerTown to pick up some drugs and sandwiches, and if the timing works in my favor, a walk through the thrift shop.
