Good morning, world. It’s a brisk -1℉ out there this morning. Podrick woke me around 5:30am, and we snuggled until I fell back to sleep. The next time I woke up, Shawshank was getting back into bed, so I assume Pod did what Pod does.
We’ve had a nice two days off. We both did our own things on the internet while we waited for the secondhand shop to open at 2pm. It was nice to get out of the house, I even put on real pants. I was on a mission to find some shirts I could wear on streams. In my experience, I get a decent amount of traffic when I wear crop tops or tank tops, as long as they aren’t dark colored. I wanted either some tees I could cut, or would be tight. What I’ve discovered is that no one in this town wears anything other than Saskatchewan Roughriders tees. I found a really nice hockey jersey, but it was the town team, which would be a Really Bad Idea. I kinda want to send it to my mom.
That’s not to say we didn’t find anything in the shop. We found a whisk to replace the one that broke. Shawshank directed my attention to a string of blue Christmas lights. I found a thin white top, a set of those Chinese medicine balls that chime, and a water bottle that met my buzzy-brained specifications. I left the balls, but we grabbed everything else.
We had some issues with dinner last night that required a trip out for replacement tomato sauce, but otherwise it was delicious. Shawshank put on wrestling and I played Factorio on the Switch. I’ve been restarting new maps during wrestling matches, trying to figure out efficient furnace stacking and belt management. Last night’s attempt went much better than the attempts over the weekend. I even managed to flip the design horizontally without breaking it.
But, like you try to tell the hoes in the creator spaces, everything has ups and downs. The “weekend” is over, and today we’re back to work.
