Happy Hump Day, y’all. We’re up, and Podrick and Shawshank have already had an exciting game of fetch this morning. The sun is out, we have coffee and the day off.

We had a slow day at the house. Shawshank went to Shady Acres after breakfast to finish what he started, returning in time for lunch. Since the birds found the seed outside, I made some pre-school bird feeders: a pine cone shmeared in peanut butter, then rolled in bird seed and tied to the front railing. Podrick, ever the helper, offered his assistance. Shawshank put a load of laundry through the wash, and we watched a few episodes of “Yellowstone” before dinner. After dinner, we watched some wrestling.
At some point, Shawshank noticed he’d gotten an aurora alert. I was up and at the door with the bong anyway, so I went outside to see if there was anything visible. What looked like a little bit of wispy clouds from the doorway was an insane light show once we were in the yard and could see everything.
Since neither of us is working today, we’re watching morning news stuff. Podrick is watching the chickadees on the feeder. Shawshank is going to run out to the post office to pick up our Temu, and we’re chilling for the day.
