Oh, look. It’s Tuesday. It’s been a trying morning. Podrick is triggering Shawshank. The meatball is all gas, no brakes. He’s been wired since around 5am, determined to get into the closets and tear things off the bedroom wall. Shawshank locked him out of the bedroom. Sometime before 7am, he jumped off the shelf over the toilet, knocking down a box of miscellaneous bathroom stuff. I went out, cleaned up the mess, called Podrick a motherfucker, and went back into the bedroom.
Shawshank worked last night, and I started my work week. I opted for a very casual vibe, eschewing the matched sets in favor of a tank top and some old Batman panties. It’s a slow process, but I’m figuring out what I’m doing and who I want to be. My biggest issues are yapping and eye contact. I haven’t figured out how to carry on a conversation with an empty or unresponsive room, but I’ve been making an effort to improve that. I make comments about what I’m reading on Reddit, or talk about whatever music I have on. The eye contact problem is a combination of wanting to look at me, because I’m in the center of the screen and the lens is on the side, and my general inability/non-desire to make eye contact with anyone.
I’ve noticed that the more followers I have, the higher up in the ranking I start when I log in. The higher up I start, the earlier I start getting people in the room, and the more people I get in the room. Some models will kick and ban people who don’t have tokens or aren’t chatting. The way I see it, allowing the lurkers to be there increases my average number of viewers, pushing my room up higher in the rankings. The ones with the tokens might not tip immediately, but I still chat with them like they have. I’ve had one user who has been in my room almost every time I stream for the last week or so, lurking, and last night he dropped $10 on me without a word. I finished the night’s shift with about $40. It is what it is.
I haven’t decided if I’m going casual again tonight, or more standard attire. Shawshank made us a lovely brunch, and now it’s time for makeup.
