It’s sunny, but it’s chilly. Good morning, world, from the squidgy brown couch in TinyTown. The cats are up and hanging out by the back door. Shawshank put Podrick out of the bedroom at some point. I watched TikTok videos. When Shawshank finally woke up properly, I was watching a drag queen opening Labubu blind boxes while singing “Maybe This Time“.
My Halloween costume came in yesterday, along with some accessories and matching smutty underthings. Shawshank demanded a fashion show, so I tried everything on. Amazingly, everything fits. I was nervous, because Temu listed it as plus size, but ordering anything from China with sizes can get real weird, real fast. Is it a plus size by Asian standards, or Western standards? In the end, after reading some of the reviews and assuming the smocked back would be somewhat forgiving, I took a chance and ordered a 1X. I probably could have gone with the 0X, but between the smocked back and corset front, it fits fine and looks cute. I was less worried about the underthings, but still happy they fit. All I need to do is finish the apron and hat.
Also included in the Temu package were some clips for my hot curlers. Naturally, I had to try them out when Shawshank went to work. I rolled my hair up, once again marveling at the fact my mother did that every single morning. Not only that, but I think she only had a few more curlers than my kit has. And yet, she managed to do her whole head easily, while I have half the hair and struggle to not run out.
While the curlers cooled, I sat on the living room floor, cardboard box and laptop in front of me. The laptop screen displayed an enlarged apron pattern on a grid, which I used as a guide to make a larger version of all the pieces on the cardboard. The box was only slightly too small, but not on a piece where it will matter too much. My rollers had cooled by the time I cleared my cardboard mess, so I finished my hair.
After dinner, I streamed on TikTok. I wore jeans, which is a treat for the Foot Clan. They adore the mom jeans. I might do some TikTok streaming this afternoon, but I haven’t decided. I’ll probably sit through a couple of hours on Chaturbate as well. Maybe the wifi gods will be on my side.
