Greetings, my sunshiney readers. I’m assuming there were hijinks overnight, since the bedroom was closed this morning. I was quietly reading yet another Reddit flamewar when a truck rattled by and woke up Shawshank. He thought it was cat bullshit and got out of bed.
We both had pretty typical Mondays. The new buzzy muffstuffer – a Lush 4, for those following along – was delivered and set on its charger. Once Shawshank went to work, I spent most of the afternoon trying to determine the best way to stream with the new toy.
Lovense has two apps that can run their gadgets, Connect and Remote. There’s also a Chrome extension for the laptop, and a streaming app (that also talks to the toy) for my phone. After a bunch of fussing about over the last couple of days before the toy’s arrival, I was able to determine I have two ways to stream:
- use the Connect app + the Chrome extension to stream via web
- stream via the app
I was able to test out both options. I’m assuming most creators are buying them for traditional cam sites like Chaturbate, in which case it’s almost stupidly simple to set up. In terms of ease of use, the app method was much simpler, because it’s an all-in-one solution without much fuss. I also briefly tested things on Fansly, which involves a little more work, but does work.
I set up the bedroom while dinner cooked, telling Shawshank “if I get high enough, I’ll give it a go”. By the time dinner finished cooking, I was high enough to have the courage to try another Chaturbate stream. This time with the new tip toy. After my first stream, last week, I had 15 followers; as of last night, I’m up to 41.
After a couple of hours of futzing with shit, I logged off having earned $4.25. Shawshank framed $1 for me.
He has today off. We’re making tacos for dinner, but the rest of the day is open.
