Hello, Thursday. Can anyone tell me why my neck and shoulders are stiff as hell this morning? It’d be swell if you could. Bodily decay aside, it’s another day, and I say that with all the jazz hands I can muster.
I spent some time on TikTok yesterday afternoon. Since I wanted to be chatting and not reading, opted to play Slay the Spire. With the looming potential for a TikTok ban in the US this week, I wanted to log on at least once to say goodbye to some regulars before they lose access. The jury is still out on what affect all this bullshit will have on the app.
Social media is weird for me right now. Bluesky feels very much like Google+ felt to me when it first started. Everyone is creating their little circles and cliques, there’s drama between communities,
and there’s even a user base trying to turn it into Twitter. TikTok feels like the end of G+, all my US friends are saying their goodbyes. The normal TikTok people are trying to move to Instagram, which I can’t get with at all.
Shawshank has today off. We’re going to spent the morning chilling out. He’s going to move some stove pellets for his parents later this afternoon. While he does the physical labor, I’m going to the town thrift shop with his mom.
