Happy fucking Tuesday, everyone. Just one more day in our new normal, where the pandemic rages on and Rhode Islanders can’t figure out social distancing.
Sleep came pretty quickly last night; however, taking a decent dose of melatonin and Benadryl earlier than normal will do that to a person. I spent most of last night chatting with my mother and some online friends. I asked Mom about whether or not I should be the bigger person and wish my father a happy birthday. She said being the bigger person and not sinking to that level of pettiness would be better, but she understands if I can’t do that anymore.
It’s a late shift for me tonight. Our fill-in tech, who works a couple of night shifts during the week, needed the night off. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and is in the treatment planning stage. I don’t expect her to be working that often – if at all – until the pandemic dies down. Late shifts aren’t always a bad thing. They give me the chance to do a bonus long workout during the week. I’ll do a workout, then head to the post office to ship out a completed auction. I made arrangements with someone wanting to buy four more sets of Shawshank‘s Lego collection. The buyer is a super patient dude, so those will go out over the weekend.
It’s the last shift before StressedRPh comes back. We’re going to enjoy the peace for one last day.
