Good morning, world. I’ve emerged from my blanket-fort and have clothes on. I didn’t hear the alarm go off this morning, nor did I feel Shawshank get up or kiss me goodbye. I woke up with the aurora lights on, alone in the bedroom. At the moment, I have Pippin on my chest, which means I’ll need to take a morning shower to wash all her fur off my face.
I was much more successful with my second attempt to do a clown look. This time, I skipped the white. While I was nervous about the black outlining on the triangles, I love how it turned out. It’s definitely a look I can build on, and I’ve got a couple of ideas swirling. On top of that, I see a few things I can improve next time. Mainly, I feel like the makeup overwhelms my eyes, and to a lesser extent my lips. I can fix most of that with false lashes and lip shape.
The afternoon was good. I mashed up a couple of slices of funfetti birthday cake with my foot. I definitely should have let it sit and reach room temperature before doing it, because it was cold. I was worried the frosting would be too hard/dry to smoosh up, but my fears were unfounded. Once I cleaned up my foot, I enjoyed a bit of spin time.
I streamed a bit after dinner. It’s been a while, so I streamed a bit of spin time with the black light. That will net me some flow footage, which I haven’t recorded in forever. After that, I played Slay the Spire for the rest of the night. I made $2 in TikTok coins. Midway through the stream, my laptop decided it no longer had an operating system, so I had to run the restore disk.
Someone in the chat kept trying to make specific requests, like “hold your foot up longer” or “scrunch your feet”, after sending me a couple of “roses”. A single TikTok rose equals about $0.005. After about the 10th request, I got snarky with him. “Dude, you’re tossing nickels at me,” I said. “If you want custom content, you can pay my standard rates.” He had the good sense to leave at that point, thanking me for my time.
Shawshank swapped shifts with a coworker today, so he’s doing the morning shift. I’m going to take my shower and decide out how human I want to be.
