people are idiots

Good morning, world. It’s Thursday. On Thursdays we wake up in wee hours because our elderly cat thinks it’s time to play. I vaguely remember Shawshank whispering to me, “I think it’s Chaucer playing”. We have no idea why he thought that was the best time to play, or what started it.

Our Wednesday was typical. I made the SALE! graphic for Shawshank‘s shop and set it up before he left the house. When he came home, he asked me to add a button with a link to the shop. I played some Skyrim and Tears of The Kingdom in the afternoon, pulling in about $8 from the Foot Clan while I gamed and chatted.

I received not one but three scam emails on Etsy yesterday. They’ve changed something in their messaging system and added a giant warning about how Etsy support will never need to ask for your email. I think they also added a specific “From Etsy” inbox. What do I get? Two messages from “Etsy Support”, asking for my email and threatening my account if I don’t go through the “verification process”. The third message was a “customer”, who also wanted my email. I reported all of them for spam and ignored them. This pretty much sums up everything wrong with Etsy, and why I didn’t want to use it as a storefront. If you’re not getting fucked by a seller, your “buyers” are trying to fuck you.

Today’s going to be a repeat of yesterday.
