Good morning, my little internet babies. It’s Friday-Eve, the snow has stopped, and the coffee is hottish. Podrick was his regular meatballbaby self this morning.
The snow continued for most of yesterday. I don’t think we got much more on the ground, only another couple of inches, tops. Enough to make everything look pretty, and slightly inconvenience a lot of people. Thankfully, it looks like the snow and the winds have moved out of the area. There’s a little breeze, but nothing near as wild as we’ve had this week.
The biggest downside of the snow would be the slower internet speed. Can they truly be slower? you ask. Yes, they can. Whether or not “snow = slow” is just my imagination doesn’t actually matter. The speeds were less than ideal for streaming last night. It was slightly worse than normal. I stuck it out for about 4 hours before logging out. Between the speed, my bladder, and my inability to sit comfortably, I couldn’t stick it out much longer than that. I’ll have to make up for it today.
In less bitchy news, I’ve been having a fucking blast watching two subreddits beef with each other on Reddit. I subscribe to a couple of camming advice subreddits, we’ll call them Group P and Group L. Group L was created by a model who had been banned from Group P, because she thought the first one was too negative after they banned her for being a catty bitch. Somehow, she’s managed to create a subreddit that’s both slightly better and even worse than the first- and it has a Discord server to go along with it. She’s been bragging on both the Discord and the Group L subreddit about how much money she makes daily.
Yesterday, someone posted in the Group P to beware of taking advice from or considering creators to be mentors without vetting them, because people can and will lie about things that are verifiably false. While she didn’t mention this model in particular, nearly everyone knew exactly who the post was talking about. The comments were absolutely flooded with people talking about her bad advice and shittier attitude. I joined the Discord and the subreddit when she made them specifically for this drama, knowing it was coming. Nothing good ever comes out of these situations, and I am here for it. I wasn’t disappointed; within an hour or so, she had shared the link to the Group P post to the Discord server and demanded everyone report them for harassment. Then she made a post on Group L with screenshots of her earnings, and demanded everyone go upvote the post and her comments because “everyone is downvoting me”.
She wasn’t happy that Reddit won’t take the post down. Group P’s mods went in and cleaned up some comments, removed the links to the Group L sub and her name, but all the other trash talk remains. And there’s a spy on the Discord server that’s not me, which is just the icing on the cake.
